Hunter Tylo, better known to many of us as Dr. Taylor Hamilton Hayes Forrester Marone on The Bold and the Beautiful was born on July 3rd 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas. Born Deborah Jo Hunter she was the third of four children. Growing up, Hunter was considered a tomboy and enjoyed horseback riding, exotic animals and dreamed of one day becoming a veterinarian.


Hunter’s first taste of fame came as a model in the '70s and '80s, but in 1980, at age 18, she became pregnant  with her first son Christopher and married his father, Tom Morehart in July of that year. The marriage was short lived and they were divorced in 1982. Hunter found herself struggling to care for her young son and took on odd jobs and minor film roles where she acted under the name of Deborah Morehart.
Then Hunter got her first real break in 1985, when she was cast as Robin McCall in the daytime television series, All My Children. She played the love interest of Michael Tylo in the series as well as off-screen. She left the series in 1987 and married Tylo Their first child together, Mickey, was born a year later.


Hunter Tylo played the evil Marina Theresa Toscano Johnson on Days of Our Lives from 1989-1990 but then became a regular on The Bold and the Beautiful in 1990where she played the role of Dr. Taylor Hayes until the latter part of 2002.


In 1996, Hunter Tylo left the show briefly for a part on Melrose Place, but Aaron Spelling fired her from the series when he learned that she was pregnant and before she could film a single scene. Her character Taylor McBride was recast and ultimately played by actress Lisa Rinna. Tylo quickly returned to B&B. She filed a discrimination suit against Spelling and won nearly five million dollars.


Her daughter, Izabella Gabrielle was born in November 1996 and Katya Ariel in January 1998. Shortly after the birth of Katya, the doctors discovered that she was suffering from Retinoblastoma, a cancer of the retina. Katya has lost one of his eyes. The second look was achieved too, but was miraculously cured.
Hunter  returned to The Bold & the Beautiful on April 22, 2005 and later that same year announced that she and her husband Michael were getting a divorce after eighteen years of marriage. Then tragically in October of this year (2007) her son Michael drowned in the family pool in Nevada while suffering from an epileptic seizure.  He was just 19 years old.


Hunter Tylo has seen more than her share of difficult times and tragedy but she has turned adversity into opportunity. Due to her daughter, Katya’s illness, Hunter and her ex- husband Michael established Retinoblastoma International. She also formed Hunter's Chosen Child, an organization to help disadvantaged pregnant women with newborn and infant care, as well as pregnancy discrimination.

Hunter also made appearances on a number of popular television series such as Dallas, Diagnosis Murder and Burke's Law and starred in the hit mini-series The Maharaja's Daughter in 1994.
